Priiloader doesn't get installed as boot2 at all, it actually sits between the bootloaders and the system menu. And general consensus is that the VC versions of OoT and MM as the best way to play those games on Wii (as opposed to the notoriously buggy versions on the Zelda Collector’s Edition disc for GCN).ġ) If I can hold power and reset to access the priiloader menu, does that mean it is installed as boot2? I haven’t played all 21 titles but I can vouch for the quality of Mario Tennis, MK64, SM64 and Star Fox 64. Nintendo has historically been very particular about emulation quality, and by all accounts the N64 VC emulation is as good as it gets. N64 VC is interesting because due to the complexities of N64 emulation each title runs in a sandbox mode on a custom emulator tailored specifically to the game in question. And don’t forget to save the keys.bin file alongside the NAND backup as it will be necessary to restore from NAND. So definitely make a NAND backup if you haven’t already. Priiloader will allow you to boot into HBC from which you can launch Bootmii and restore from a NAND backup. If you apply the region unlock setting in Priiloader you should be able to run WADs from any territory without issue. So don’t just Google willy-nilly, find a well curated repository and you should be good. You’ll save yourself a lot of time if you just vet your source(s) for the WADs you download. Haven’t done this myself but I believe you could use emuNAND as a test bed for your WADs.
